Participants will discover simple environmental accommodations that can make learning spaces more accessible and supportive. We will discuss the creation of sensory-friendly spaces, where children can find comfort and re-regulate both their emotions and energy. We will also explore the spiritual and practical importance of purposeful pauses and thoughtful transitions. When we create moments to breathe and shift expectations, we move intentionally from one experience to another rather than rushing from one activity to the next.
Through a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming perspective, we will consider how small changes in our environments and rhythms can communicate a powerful message: You belong here. You are seen. You are valued exactly as you are.
