Special Dispensation

 

The Unity Special Dispensation Program is a supportive bridge created by Unity Community & Leaders (UC&L) to help member ministries thrive during leadership transitions. When a Unity credentialed minister is unavailable, this
formal authorization allows ministries to temporarily employ a non-Unity ordained spiritual leader while supporting them on an accelerated path toward official Unity ordination.

Through a shared three-way commitment between the ministry, the spiritual leader, and UC&L, participants honor high competency standards and formation outcomes while serving their communities with grace and sacred
stewardship.

• Collaborative Partnership: Requires a three-way agreement (Ministry, Leader, and UC&L) to ensure mutual support and alignment.  
• Flexible Entry Routes: Offers two tailored educational pathways based on a leader's prior background and ministry experience.  
• Unified Standards: Ensures all leaders fulfill identical formation outcomes and credentialing requirements.  
• Reciprocal CSL Agreement: Includes a streamlined pathway for Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL) ministers due to aligned theological foundations.
