About Unity of Augusta
Unity of Augusta is a welcoming, spiritually progressive community grounded in Unity principles of love, compassion, inclusivity, and personal transformation. We are seeking an engaging and heart-centered Senior Minister to help guide our congregation into its next season of growth and spiritual connection.
Our congregation currently averages:
● 25–35 in-person attendees
● 5–10 online participants
We are especially interested in a minister who values authentic relationships, community outreach, spiritual education, and congregational growth.
Position Overview
The Senior Minister will provide spiritual leadership for the congregation through inspiring Sunday services, pastoral care, community engagement, and collaborative leadership with the Board of Trustees. Bi-vocational ministers are welcome to apply. We estimate that this position will require a 15 to 20 hour weekly commitment. We are a warm, resilient, and spiritually curious community eager to welcome new energy and ideas.
Key responsibilities include:
● Planning and delivering weekly Sunday services and messages
● Coordinating guest speakers during scheduled absences
● Supporting the spiritual growth and well-being of congregants
● Collaborating with the Board of Trustees on church vision, operations, and growth initiatives
● Representing Unity of Augusta within the broader community
● Providing pastoral care, including visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and home-bound members when possible
● Utilizing virtual meeting and online communication platforms

● Models Unity teachings through openness, gratitude, inclusivity, and love
● Has a passion for congregational growth and community outreach
● Is comfortable welcoming diverse individuals, families, and children into the spiritual community
● Understands prosperity consciousness and abundance-based ministry
● Works collaboratively and communicates effectively
● Is ordained, licensed, or actively pursuing licensure as a Unity minister
● Will adhere to all Unity bylaws, policies, and procedures
