Unity of Kanawha Valley seeks a minister with a vibrant and welcoming personality who models and teaches open attitudes, active and compassionate listening, love, gratitude and tolerance – all grounded in Unity principles. The minister will plan and deliver Sunday services, including finding speakers to fill in during planned absences, and will work closely with the Board of Trustees to help support, nurture and grow our church, as well as represent us in the community at large.
 

We desire a minister who will help us grow our church by attracting families, children and diverse members to our church, as well as one who is skilled in developing prosperity awareness, raising funds and working with a treasurer to maintain a balanced budget. We prefer a minister who is willing to make hospital and nursing home visits to members, as well as members who are home-bound or experiencing hardships, which is a vital need for our aging congregation. We would also like someone who is familiar with the use of virtual meeting applications and is willing to work with our A/V Team to engage our incredibly active (and growing!) virtual membership. This person must adhere to all Unity and ministry bylaws, policies and procedures, and be a licensed Unity minister or willing to complete the requirements to become one.

 

Our beautiful stone church is located in the neighborhood of South Hills just minutes from downtown Charleston, West Virginia’s vibrant and beautiful capital city.
